Some are no longer in operation, but <strong>each has its own history and preserves a special kind of magic<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>Botafoc Lighthouse<\/strong>, located at the entrance to the port of Ibiza, is one of the most recognisable on the island. Built in the 19<sup>th<\/sup> century, it is famous for its white cylindrical tower and <strong>its great importance for Mediterranean navigation<\/strong>. Its light, visible from a long distance, has guided ships approaching the port for decades, becoming a point of reference for maritime traffic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the northern tip of the island lies the <strong>Punta des Moscarter Lighthouse<\/strong>, the tallest in Ibiza and one of the tallest in the Balearic Islands. With its distinctive design <strong>of black and white helical stripes, this lighthouse has become a visual icon.<\/strong> It is located in a privileged natural setting near Portinatx.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Another notable lighthouse is the <strong>Es Vedr\u00e0 Lighthouse,<\/strong> situated on an islet near the southwest coast. Although it cannot be visited and its tower is more discreet than others, <strong>its location facing the imposing Es Vedr\u00e0 rock formation gives it a mystical aura.<\/strong> Its light signal is crucial for navigation in an area known for its cliffs and shifting winds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"704\" src=\"https:\/\/breezeibiza.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/1-1-1024x704.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3419\" srcset=\"https:\/\/breezeibiza.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/1-1-1024x704.jpeg 1024w, https:\/\/breezeibiza.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/1-1-300x206.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/breezeibiza.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/1-1-768x528.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/breezeibiza.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/1-1-1536x1056.jpeg 1536w, https:\/\/breezeibiza.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/1-1-2048x1408.jpeg 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>Punta Grossa Lighthouse,<\/strong> located on a rocky enclave on the northeast of the island, is one of the most unique due to its history. Abandoned for years and difficult to access, <strong>it preserves part of its original 19<\/strong><sup><strong>th<\/strong><\/sup><strong>-century structure.<\/strong> Although it no longer functions as a navigational signal, its silhouette and setting make it a gem of Ibiza\u2019s coastal heritage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the northeast coast, you will also find the <strong>Tagomago Lighthouse, <\/strong>located on the small private islet of the same name. Still in operation, this lighthouse rises above a simple yet robust structure, fully adapted to the maritime conditions of the area. Its light plays a <strong>key role in navigation between Ibiza and Mallorca, <\/strong>especially on nights with low visibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"682\" src=\"https:\/\/breezeibiza.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/3-1024x682.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3404\" srcset=\"https:\/\/breezeibiza.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/3-1024x682.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/breezeibiza.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/3-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/breezeibiza.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/3-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/breezeibiza.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/3-1536x1023.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/breezeibiza.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/3-2048x1365.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Lastly, the <strong>En Pou Lighthouse <\/strong>is another beacon that forms part of the island\u2019s maritime signal system. Although its design is more modest, its role within nautical orientation remains significant.
